BICARA INSPIRASI BERSAMA EKSPEDITOR NEGARA – KE KUTUB UTARA, KUTUB SELATAN DAN GREENLAND

30 AUGUST 2018, Selangor – AWETA featuring (Dr.) Hajjah Sharifah Mazlina Syed Abdul Kadir recently has organized a program called “BICARA INSPIRASI BERSAMA EKSPEDITOR NEGARA – KE KUTUB UTARA, KUTUB SELATAN DAN GREENLAND” which has been attended by many inspired women ranging from multitude of age and race. This event which takes place at the Auditorium Dewan Jubli Perak, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS), Shah Alam has witnessed a grand opening speech made by our very own YB Puan Dr. Siti Mariah Binti Mahmod, the chairman of the Selangor organizing committee for women and family which quoted “As a women…seeing such commitment and dedication made by another fellow women at a dazzling age give me that chills…and that chills make me felt like there is more that I can do…and there is more that I can explore about myself…” – said YB Mariah complementing Dr. Sharifah.

During the sharing experience session by Dr. Sharifah, she introduce her MEPS concept which comprises of Mental, Emotional, Physical, Social & Spiritual element which brought her to this “epic journey” to obtain the “Polar Hat Trick” completion – Dr. Sharifah has been titled as the first and fastest Female Muslim Expeditor that ever completed the polar hat trick in the world and now, she is on a quest to select candidates (via an program organized by AWETA called PENCARIAN RATU AIS ANTARTIKA) to follow her back to the poles to retrieve a “time capsule” which she left during her last expedition there – this time capsule contains words written by our very own Tun Mahathir Mohamed (which he wrote during his previous presidency as the 4th Malaysian Prime Minister) in 2004.

Dr. Sharifah also exposed her expedition footage which has not yet published for the auditorium audience to see and to experience how she survives those terrains in the no-man’s land. “During the planning stages of this project, I decided to make a unique entrance by using ski-sailing methods to cross the poles” said Dr. Sharifah. This unique method has proven her success to which she able to complete the expedition earlier than the anticipated days.
